Topic summary: Millions of organizations everyday struggle with implementing a successful data classification strategy, which causes a domino effect, ultimately allowing for weaker data governance practices and strategies. The presentation will walk through what a successful taxonomy looks like, and how to have tangible risk reduction from a data governance standpoint. A lot of which will come down to enforcing labeling and ensuring an adequate/up to date inventory of sensitive data across all datastores.
